I had my visit with Dr. O yesterday to do the repeat biopsy from my D&C way back in July. I think it all went well, but I obviously won't know the results until next week. I'm to continue taking Meg.ace until he tells me differently. He did say he removed a lot of tissue with the biopsy, but he's thinking that may just be what was being held in because of the Meg.ace. Fingers crossed it's good news next week!
He did say that, assuming we get the good news we're hoping for, things still won't be moving very rapidly. He wants to try several months of me taking Meg.ace for seven days a month until my cycle becomes normal. My concern is that, for my cycle to become normal, I would have to be ovulating. Since my body doesn't do that on its own and he isn't planning to give me any medication to help me ovulate, aren't we just going to be going in circles? Is my cycle ever going to regulate if I'm not ovulating? And, if that's the case, are we ever going to get to do fertility treatment?
I'm just feeling very frustrated because we've been seeing him for 8 months so far and we haven't yet been able to do any treatment for the infertility problem. I understand why that hasn't happened so far, what with the hyper.plasia, but surely if the biopsy results come back normal we can get on with things, right? Am I being too impatient?

Firstly..I love your layout..Where did you get it? Secondly, 8 months is LONG time. I understand him wanting to proceed w/caution, but at this point, esp. if the biopsy results come back normal, I would get a 2nd opinion. There has to be more that can be done to get you on the road to baby.
Hi Mrs. J! Great to see you and thanks for your comment. That's how I'm feeling about it. I just want to know something concrete about our treatment options and if we're going to get to try and, if so, how long we're actually going to be waiting! I'm not a patient person, so this wait, wait, wait game doesn't work for me, lol!
Btw, my layout came from Leelou Blogs. I love her layouts!
I would be frustrated too. I second the second opinion. I also would tell your doc how you feel and see if he has any ideas.
You layout is ADORABLE! I'm loving it too! :)
SO sorry you have to wait it out...I am by no means an expert in this area, but 8 months seems like a while to me as well...especially when you aren't ovulating on your own and he isn't giving you meds to ovulate.
I just caught up on your last few posts...
SO sorry your ankle is still giving you grief. Will cross my fingers for the lapro for you.
Happy belated birthday and anniversary to you! Glad you were able to have a nice vacation. And LOVE that you took chili to the hubs and his entire office.
WAY cool you're Vegas bound next year.
Whew! I think I'm caught up now. :)
How frustrating! Such a looong wait to even get to start! :-( It will be interesting to hear what he says when you ask him how things will regulate when you can't ovulate. Might be time to slap him around a bit. ;-)
I haven't gone back to look at what caused your hyper.plasia, but I had this last year. I had complex with atypia. My doctor put me on a continual regime of provera to force my body to cycle and keep tissue out of my body. I have annovulatory pcos and I often skip periods for several months. Since being on provera life is completely different.
The good thing about provera is that I am able to ovulate and hubby and I can safely get pregnant on it. My doc did tell me that it was imperative to get to a normal weight as well. So far I have lost 50 pounds and my body functions muuuuuch better! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I've been there and I will gladly offer any support I can.
