Show & Tell - Audition Material

As Mel says, Show and Tell is wasted on elementary schoolers. Why not join dozens of bloggers each week and show off your own item, tell your story and be the center of attention for a bit?!

As I stated in my last post, it's been a really great week so far. Good news on the work front, the IF front and also something to look forward to this weekend.

So, I promised you a video of my audition material for America's Got Talent (confused? Go read the last post!). I need your honest opinions! What do you think? Does it sound okay? Give me constructive criticism please (but please don't be too harsh.....my feelings get hurt easily!)! Hope you enjoy and please think of me on Saturday when I'm strutting my stuff for the NBC producers!

Be sure to stop by Mel's and see what the rest of the class are up to!

Okay first - you are amazingly courageous to post this for others to see. I'd be so afraid of what others would say to me.
Having said that, I can see *why* you'd post this and submit it. I've had some singing/vocal training and it sure looks to me like you've GOT some talent! Best of luck!!!

You sound great but the audio feedback bring it down a bit when viewing online. I'd say you have a shot!

Wouhou !! Takes courage to go on a show like that. And in my very amateur opinion, you could go on a few rounds. Mind you, I don't watch TV and I haven't watched any Idols or Got talents or whatever in a few years.
You wanted to know what your readers thought so...
You have a good voice. Maybe less tremolos at the end of the verses (?) and your voice a bit softer. Your voice is strong and it's good. Put more emotion in what you're singing, not with more force but more longing. It will lessen the hard edge I think.

You have a beautiful voice. I don't know the song very well, but I think you have a shot. Good luck!! Can't wait to see you on T.V!

You sound great! There were a couple spots where you were off key, I think, but they were mostly near breathing points so that may be connected. Or it may be my computer/speakers. I hope you do really well!

Wishing you luck! I don't have any helpful criticism - it sounded very good to me! :)

Wishing you lots of luck - it's been busy or I would have stopped by before to tell you good luck! There were a few bits where you were a little flat in the beginning, but I think that's more to do with nerves. Just remember to breathe nice and deep, sing from your chest, and you'll be fabulous!

I found you on ICLW and thought I'd comment on this post. You are very brave to put this video up for others to comment on, but then I guess you'd have to be pretty brave to audition on tv. So good for you! You have a really pretty voice and you did Patsy Cline very well. You had a few pitchy parts where your notes bobbled but it could really be overlooked. Good Luck!
